The CEFR-Aligned Item Building Workshop was conducted to provide exposure to the English lecturers of Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang (KMPh) and Kolej Matrikulasi Teknikal Pahang (KMTPh) on constructing examination questions that are aligned with the latest Course Specification (CS) and accurately reflect the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) levels.

The CEFR-Aligned Item Building Workshop was held in KMPh on July 13, 2024 at Dewan Mini Oxford as a collaborative programme with KMTPh. This workshop was attended by 20 participants and featured 4 speakers. Puan Zuraishah binti Zukri and Puan Norzahana binti Zainol were the speakers from KMPh while Puan Sabrina binti Baharuddin and Puan Arina binti Asli were the speakers from KMTPh. 

The objectives of the workshop were to strengthen the skills of the English lecturers in the construction of up-to-date exam questions and to assist the English lecturers in gaining a deep understanding of how to develop examination questions according to the CEFR levels established by the Matriculation Division, specifically at helping students in achieving at least CEFR B2.

As a result of this workshop, it is hoped that it can help the matriculation college lecturers be successful in achieving the required proficiency and skills in question construction.
